We think a ski holiday encompasses more than just the skiing. Certainly, it should be about the skiing, but it should also be about breathtaking scenery, excellent accommodation, fabulous food and the all round experience of a week in an alpine wonderland.

This is why we want to take you to one of the most enchanting places to ski in the whole world. We have decades of experience in the ski industry and have worked and travelled to many of the world’s top alpine destinations. Nothing, however, compares to the spectacular beauty of the Italian Dolomites. In fact, this mountain range is a UNESCO world natural heritage site and a melting pot of cultures, traditions, cuisine and language.

The Dolomites are located in the north east of Italy. They are the mountains due north of Verona and Venice and they border with Austria. They encompass numerous ski resorts from smaller lesser known resorts such as Civetta and Kronplatz to world famous resorts such as Val Gardena and Cortina d’Ampezzo. AlpineItaly is based in Colfosco, Alta Badia which is a beautiful, traditional ski town at 1645m. It is possible to ski to a height of 3300m towards the Marmolada glacier so you can be sure of snow. In fact, the whole area has 90% coverage by snow making facilities to ensure a great ski holiday.

The Dolomiti Superski lift pass offers 1200km of pistes on the same pass. And within this most elegant of mountain ranges lies the Sella Ronda – a huge carousel of alpine resorts linking the resorts of Val Gardena, Canazei, Arabba and Alta Badia. With 550km of pistes itself, this is essentially the jewel in the crown of the most beautiful skiing area in the world.
